Join K–12 educators, University of Michigan students, faculty and staff, and community partners for a collaborative, in-person design workshop focused on strengthening school–community partnerships for sustainability education.
Educators and community partners will share real challenges and experiences related to partnership-building. Participants will then work in interdisciplinary teams to brainstorm practical solutions, develop prototypes, and offer feedback. This workshop will create opportunities for future teachers and sustainability professionals to learn from one another and co-create strategies that support meaningful, place-based sustainability education.
Insights and prototypes from the workshop will inform a publicly available toolkit for building and sustaining school–community partnerships.
