Amelia is a master's student at the University of Michigan's School for Environment and Sustainability studying sustainable development. She is interested in place-based sustainable development, specifically communities that are transitioning to using renewable energy. Amelia also has a passion for being in a classroom setting, and has experience tutoring and working with teachers and K-12 students in after school programs. Most notably, she spent time working with America Reads and EMU's Bright Futures program. As an assistant to the sustainable education program, Amelia will be working on the Sustainable Teacher Fellowship program, helping teachers in the Saginaw Bay Watershed bring sustainability education to their classrooms.
